The Luthuli Museum in partnership with the University of KwaZulu-Natal’s Centre for Creative Arts facilitated a poetry exchange at the Luthuli Museum on the 10 October 2019 as part of the 23rd edition of the International Poetry Africa Festival. The Poetry Africa has a long-standing commitment towards nurturing a culture of reading and writing poetry, especially amongst the youth. There were two guest poets, Bash Amuneni and Mongane Wally Serote which performed and answered question from the audience. There was also an open mic session whereby the audience was afforded the opportunity to present their work.
